Jerrod Cooper
Hey y’all! My name is Jerrod Cooper and I graduated in 2016. After high school, knowing that I wanted to go to law school and be a lawyer, I went to OU and majored in Psychology because it was interesting to me and would check off the “boxes” for law school later. I added on Human Relations and my double minor in Criminology and African and African American studies because those also interested me and I knew that I would do better in classes I was interested in. Fast forward to 2021 after the pandemic, I graduated college and went straight into law school at OU and loved every minute of it. I was a part of the competitions team and got to travel to Houston, DC and Philadelphia for various competitions.
After 3 years and taking the Bar Exam, I’m now an Assistant District Attorney in Cleveland County working with Diversion programs which divert people from prison and hopefully get them the resources they need to get out of the cycle of the criminal justice system. I just bought a house in Norman so still close by.
